Photography has been a passion for nearly 40 years (my other love is classical guitar). I was fortunate to be able to expand my imaging expertise into a career as Director of Marketing and Advertising, where I wove my photography into brochures, banners, graphics, presentations, manuals, post cards and posters. Since I also love to write and communicate effectively, this was a fulfilling, enjoyable career on many levels.
My professional and personal pursuits have led me into many areas of photography and imaging. I studied color management extensively to achieve predictable, high quality results, from image capture to output as diverse as traditional printing presses, wide format inkjet, lightjet, digital presses and other devices. I have experience in lighting, portraiture, wildlife and pets, landscape, architecture, still life, product advertising and event photography. Photo restoration and retouching, especially of 1900's era B&W and sepia photographs, has also been a specialty.
It is a pleasure and a privelege to pursue my favorite activities independently as a professional photographer, designer, production facilitator, and marketing and color management consultant. I do all my fine art printing on wide format, 12-color, pigment inkjet printers, which accept an almost unlimited variety of fine art papers and canvas. A finely rendered, artistic & evocative presentation is always my ultimate goal. Sit back and peruse my photo galleries. I am always happy to hear from visitors.
